Accountant – Public Practice

The Role
This is a hands-on position suited to someone with strong technical skills and broad experience across tax compliance and business services. You’ll work directly with clients and play a key role in managing workflow and quality output.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation and review of financial statements, tax returns, BAS, and FBT for individuals, partnerships, companies, and trusts

• Managing client relationships and proactively identifying opportunities for value-added advice

• Working closely with the Directors on complex client matters and advisory work

• Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and internal quality control procedures

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of experience in Australian public practice accounting

• CA or CPA qualified 

• Solid technical knowledge of Australian tax legislation

• Ability to manage competing deadlines and multiple clients

• High attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and strong communication skills

• A reliable and steady presence, someone who thrives on consistency.
